How coal is formed –By Bradley P
Coal is used for power, heat and more. It is very useful.
Coal is older than the dinosaurs. It has been getting made since the dinosaurs.
Next when leaves, sticks and bark fell into the water it turned into peat.
As time went by heat from the core of the earth and the pressure from more sediment, lava from volcanoes built up pressure to form lignite.
As more pressure from sediment covers it all up with insane pressure.
As lignite gets deeper, it gets hotter. When I say hot, I mean hot because it gets closer to the middle of the earth.
Over a long time pressure and heat increases to become coal.
